Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification Passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB)
Minimum Marks Required 50% aggregate marks with at least 40% in each subject

Selection Process

The Indian Navy Agniveer SSR Medical Assistant recruitment follows a two-stage selection process:

Stage I – Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET)

  • Mode: Online Computer-Based Examination.

  • Duration: 1 hour.

  • Total Questions: 100 objective-type questions.

  • Subjects Covered: English, Science, Biology, and General Awareness.

  • Marking Scheme: 1 mark per question.

  • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted per wrong answer.

  • Qualifying Criteria: Candidates must clear each section and obtain the required aggregate marks.


Stage II – Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Written Exam, and Medical Exam

Running 1.6 km in 6 minutes 30 seconds
Squat Ups 20 repetitions
Push-ups 15 repetitions
Bent-Knee Sit-ups 15 repetitions
Swimming/Sports Skills Desirable but not mandatory

Written Examination

  • Conducted for candidates who qualify PFT.

  • Includes 100 objective-type questions covering English, Science, Biology, and General Awareness.

Medical Examination

  • Conducted at designated military hospitals.

  • Candidates declared unfit can appeal within 5 days at a designated military hospital.


Final Selection and Training

  • Merit List: Candidates will be selected based on INET score, PFT performance, and Medical Examination.

  • Pre-enrollment Medical Check: Conducted at INS Chilka before final enrollment.

  • Training Location: INS Chilka, Odisha.

  • Service Duration: Initial engagement of 20 years.
