 Eligibility Criteria for Agniveer Posts

1. Agniveer (General Duty) (All Arms)

• Educational Qualification: Class 10th / Matric pass with minimum 45% marks in aggregate and 33% in each subject.

• Age Limit: 17.5 to 21 years (Born between 01/10/2004 to 01/04/2008)

• Physical Requirements:

  • Height: 170 cm

  • Chest: 77 cm + 5 cm expansion

  • Running: 1.6 Km in 5 minutes 30 seconds

2. Agniveer (Technical) (All Arms)

• Educational Qualification: 10+2 / Intermediate in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths & English with 50% aggregate and 40% in each subject.

• Age Limit: Same as above

• Additional Requirement: Strong understanding of technical subjects

3. Agniveer Clerk / Store Keeper (Technical) (All Arms)

• Educational Qualification: 10+2 / Intermediate in any stream with 60% aggregate and 50% in each subject. Must have studied English and Maths/Accounts/Book Keeping.

• Typing Skill: May be required for document verification

4. Agniveer Tradesman (10th Pass)

• Educational Qualification: Class 10th pass with minimum 33% marks in each subject.

• Physical and Skill Requirements: Proficiency in trade and physical stamina

5. Agniveer Tradesman (8th Pass)

• Educational Qualification: Class 8th pass from recognized school board with minimum 33% marks

• Note: Trades include Housekeeper, Mess Keeper, etc.

The Agnipath Scheme was launched to recruit soldiers into the Indian Armed Forces for a period of four years. These recruits are called Agniveers, and after four years, 25% of them are selected for regular service based on merit and performance.

 Selection Process for Army Agniveer Recruitment

The selection process is designed to test the mental and physical fitness of aspirants thoroughly.

Step 1: Online Common Entrance Exam (CEE)

• Mode: Online Computer-Based Test

• Syllabus: Based on post applied (GD/Technical/Clerk/Tradesman)

• Subjects: General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning, Mathematics, English, Science

Step 2: Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

• Running: 1.6 Km in stipulated time

• Pull-Ups: Minimum 6 to 10 depending on category

• 9 Feet Ditch: To test jumping ability

• Balance Beam: Walking over it for balance test

Step 3: Medical Examination

• Conducted by Military Medical Board

• Must meet medical standards as per military guidelines

Step 4: Final Merit List
